Updates..

I haven't updated in a while so here is the low down. I come home in a month!

My mom left about a week and a half ago and went to Singapore and Cambodia. I think she goes home in a few days. It was so fun to have her here! I miss her already! I'll post some pictures from her visit and from Halloween. I was a make-shift cleopatra. 

Last week Mary (our coordinator) came to me and told me that the director of the kindergarten wanted to learn more english so she wanted to teach someone chinese in order to do so. She asked if I wanted to take one-on-one lessons so I set up times with the director and two nights ago I went for my first "lesson." Well it turned out to be really funny- not really a chinese or english lesson but more of us just trying to have a conversation about random things for an hour and a half since neither of us could speak each others language. We kept having to type things into her online translator. Haha. It was actually kind of fun though. 

Last weekend we slept on the roof and it was freezing. It's actually been really cooling off here lately which is nice. Anyhow, I've been sick ever since but I think it was worth it. It was so fun.

Brekka, our head teacher left two days ago to go home for a funeral so she's gone for good. :( Its weird not having her here. Another girl left too because her grandma is really sick. 

Anyhow- teaching is going good- I've been having fun with the kids lately and I'm really going to miss some of them! 

So yeah, two weeks until Thanksgiving and our vacation and after that, two weeks until I come home!
